Our opening hours over Christmas are as below, Kindly note we are closed on bank holidays.

Royal Mail Strike Action and Christmas Break May Affect Prescription Delivery Times

We are endeavouring to get prescription requests sent out in the post as fast as possible, but please ensure you have left sufficient time to enable your request to be processed and sent through the post.

To protect your confidentiality, we are not on the electronic NHS spine and so cannot prescribe electronically and many pharmacies are not able to accept a scanned/faxed version of your script.

It may be possible to send urgent requests received after 12 noon on 21st December by Special Delivery and Royal Mail, but we cannot guarantee these will arrive before Christmas.

If you are due medicines during the strike or Christmas period and your prescription has not arrived, you may need to contact your surgery to arrange an emergency prescription that you can collect locally.

Please note that NHSPH does not offer a crisis service.

If you are in crisis or feel unsafe or at risk to yourself or others, then you should contact 111/999, your own GP or attend your nearest Emergency Department/A&E as soon as possible.
