There is no equivalent practitioner health service currently in Northern Ireland but the following resources may be able to help:
BMA Wellbeing services
Open to any doctor or medical student and offers counselling, peer support and a fee based psychotherapy service via DocHealth click here
Inspire (Northern Ireland)
This is a free service offering counselling support for all dentists in Northern Ireland. Self-referral is available through a contact request via their website. click here
Public Health Agency
All health and social staff can access a range of resources and support, including psychological helplines click here
Northern Ireland Medical & Dental Agency
Offer a small professional support unit to all medical and dental trainees in Northern Ireland
- They have started a pilot scheme in August 2016 offering mentoring to all F1. Other trainees can also apply for this (on a case by case basis). Complete the online application form and forward it to the relevant email address
- Trainees in difficulty can be referred by supervisor for career/ pastoral support to them Contact via the website (specific specialty contacts – email and telephone)
