Jenny is a GP who for 20 years has specialised in the treatment of people with addiction problems and related mental health issues. she trained at Guy's and went on to become a GP partner in Sheffield, where for many years she headed up a GP led service for people with addiction problems.
From 1999 to 2005 she was part of the addictions research unit at the Institute of Primary Care, University of Sheffield and published a number of research papers in the field. As a regional lead for the RCGP substance misuse unit, she was involved in the development of training for Gps in addictions and has trained many GPs, medical students and other professionals.
She has also worked with government advisory bodies and more recently SLAMand the National Addiction Centre in London.
Before training as a doctor, Jenny studied modern languages at Oxford and social policy at LSE. She loves yoga and is now training to be an Iyengar yoga teacher.
