The Wounded Healer Book Club
Launching October 2021
NHS Practitioner Health in association with Healthcare Conferences UK are pleased to announce the International Practitioner Health Summit 2022 which will focus on Hope and Healing beyond Covid.
As part of the preparation for the International Practitioner Health Summit 2022: The Wounded Healer Conference 17-18 March 2022, NHS Practitioner Health and Doctors in Distress will be hosting ' The Wounded Healer Book Club' for all health and care professionals to join. Over the next six months we will be featuring authors and their books from the conference. All of the books reflect on experiences of being a clinician, mental health and wellbeing and the day to day trials of working in the health and care systems.
Join The Wounded Healer Book Club, launching on 4th October 2021, followed by a live interactive online session that will include a facilitated discussion and interview with the author. The aim of the book club is to gather like minded health professionals to gather to discuss our expert keynote speakers and author's book. The session has been developed following feedback from previous years and is aimed at all delegates with an interest in practitioner health.
The 2nd book club is taking place on Thursday 25th January 2022 at 5.30pm. The book being discussed will be by author Dr Karen Forshaw and Chrissie Mowbray - 'How to Rise: A Complete Resilience Manual' future books include Adam Kay - This is Going to Hurt and following the conference in March 22 (attendees will receive a free copy of the book) Dame Clare Gerada - Beneath the White Coat.
