Professor Dame Clare Gerada

NHS Practitioner Health Congratulates Professor Dame Clare Gerada, on her appointment as a Life Peer in the House of Lords
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dame Clare Gerada as a Life Peer in the House of Lords in recognition of her outstanding service to medicine and mental health.
With decades of dedicated service in psychiatry, general practice, and leadership of organisations centred on clinician wellbeing, Dame Clare embodies the values and mission that underpin our work at Practitioner Health.
Her appointment as a Life Peer offers a timely and influential platform to amplify the voice of the NHS workforce, which will reinforce the cultural imperative of wellbeing in the NHS and shape policy and practice for sustainable and compassionate care.
At Practitioner Health, we remain steadfast in our ambition to support and protect the workforce that protects us all. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Dame Clare to make safe, supportive care for healthcare professionals a reality.
Lucy Warner, Chief Executive of NHS Practitioner Health, said
“At Practitioner Health, we are immensely proud of what Clare has achieved in her career, as well as her continual dedication to her profession and the wider workforce. Thanks to her determination and drive, thousands of clinicians have been helped, and many careers and lives have been saved.
We know Dame Clare will continue to push forward the agenda that our workforce is the driving force of the NHS, and that healthy and happy staff will bring about the best results for all of us.”
