Dr Zaid Al-Najjar
Primary qualifications: MRCGP MFFLM LLM DClinPsych DDerm DRCOG
Zaid is the Deputy Medical Director of the Practitioner Health Service.
He qualified in 2002 from the University of Southampton and then completed vocational training as a GP. In 2010 he joined one of the main medical defence organisations in the UK as a Medicolegal Adviser and became a member of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine.
He went on to lead a team of doctors and lawyers dealing with various issues such as regulatory, disciplinary cases, Inquests, complaints and clinical negligence claims. He has since completed a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Psychiatry and continues to work as a GP in London and the South East. In his spare time he enjoys reading, being cooked for, playing tennis, and learning the piano.
